Get to know the photographer

Long story short

If you've made it to this page, then you are probably interested in knowing a little bit more about me. Here's the short and sweet version.
I met my husband in my hometown, Panama City, FL while he was attending dive school in the Navy. Then about a year later, I moved to Virginia Beach to be with him and went to the courthouse and got married! We honeymooned in Hawaii before later having our formal wedding in Helen, GA with all of our loved ones. Once he got out of the military, we then packed up and moved to Nebraska for a few years. Right after we had our second child, we packed up again with our kids, two dogs and two cats, to came back to Florida.

Preserving memories has always been something that meant a lot to me, but after having kids, I’ve realized just how quickly these seasons of life pass. The little moments I once thought I’d always remember.. the sleepy cuddles, the messy faces, the tiny hands, the everyday chaos.. somehow become the moments I want to hold onto the most. Motherhood has made me appreciate the beauty in documenting life exactly as it is, because these are the days we’ll someday wish we could go back to.
My photography journey started about ten years ago. First, I worked in marketing for about five years while having my own business on the side. I would just photograph anything and everything I could. Before becoming a full-time wedding photographer, I would photograph weddings for friends or people I already knew. After I got married, and experienced my own wedding, I felt compelled to become a full-time wedding photographer. Even though weddings are the bulk of the work I do nowadays, I still love shooting families, maternity, newborn etc.
